Azerbaijan’s gas imports surpassed 208 mcm in 1H2025

In the first half of 2025, the declared gas imports to Azerbaijan exceeded 208.2 million cubic meters, down 31.3 year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Also, the value of gas imported to Azerbaijan for the reporting period dropped by 29.6% YoY, amounting to approximately $32 million.

During six months, just over 187 million cubic meters of gas worth $28.05 million were supplied from Turkmenistan, representing a 38.3% decline both in terms of volume and value compared to the same period in 2024.

In the specified period, just over 21.24 million cubic meters of gas, valued at nearly $3.93 million, were imported from Russia. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan did not supply gas from Russia in the first half of 2024.

Overall, the declared gas imports to Azerbaijan for 2024 exceeded 546.8 billion cubic meters, valued at nearly $87 million, marking a 4.3-fold decrease in volume and a 4.2-fold drop in value compared to 2023.
