Azerbaijan and Thailand prepare to hold first political consultations between foreign ministries

Azerbaijan and Thailand are preparing to hold the first political consultations between their foreign ministries.

According to Report, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the issue was discussed during a meeting between Thailand"s MFA Secretary Eksiri Pintaruchi and Azerbaijan"s Ambassador Elchin Bashirov.

The ministry noted that the sides discussed preparations for the first political consultations, as well as the opening of Azerbaijan"s embassy in Bangkok. Both events are expected to take place in the near future.

Azerbaijan, as the MFA highlighted, will be represented at the events at the level of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides also touched upon prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment.
