Turkish company to support creation of BESS in Azerbaijan

A Turkish company will support the development of 500 MW Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Azerbaijan"s energy sector, Yasin Duven, partner at YEO Technology Energy and Industry (YEO Teknoloji Enerji ve Endüstri A.Ş.), an expert in physics, electricity, and electronics, told Report's Turkish bureau.

According to him, just two months ago the company signed a contract with Azerenergy to implement one of the world"s largest projects in terms of reserve energy storage.

Duven emphasized that the company aims to make a significant contribution to the development of the power infrastructure in both Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

"Since 2013, we have been expanding our business in the country"s energy sector, providing services to state-owned companies such as SOCAR, Azerenergy, and Azerishyg, as well as numerous major institutions and organizations," he said.

Yasin Duven added that the company has participated in 70% of transformer substation construction projects in Azerbaijan and is also cooperating in the field of renewable energy.
