Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry: Creating conditions for humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza is crucial

Azerbaijan is ready to support the diplomatic resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev said at an emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The session noted that the ongoing military tensions and humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip remain a source of concern, emphasizing the importance of urgent and decisive measures to end the situation.

Rafiyev stressed the importance of achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and creating conditions for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

He added that Azerbaijan supports resolving the conflict based on the “two-state” principle, in accordance with international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

At the same time, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan will continue providing assistance to alleviate the humanitarian situation of the Palestinian people.
