Azerbaijani cyclist claims historic victory at international race in Türkiye

Natalya Vallek, a member of Azerbaijan"s Young Professional Cyclists Public Union, has made history by winning the prestigious GranFondo Capital cycling race held in Ankara, Türkiye.
According to Report, Vallek is now the first Azerbaijani athlete to secure first place in an international GranFondo competition.
She completed the challenging 91-kilometer course, which included a 1300-meter elevation gain through mountainous terrain, finishing first overall and also topping her age category.
The Azerbaijani team, coached by Musa Mikayilzada, included three athletes among nearly 1,000 participants. Golamreza Jamfarsadi placed 6th in the 55+ category, while Vugar Salahov ranked 12th in the 40–44 age group.
