Armenia's mine terrorism was mainly directed against the civilian population, Farhad Isayev, deputy director of the Education, International, and Public Relations Department of the ANAMA, said at a round table on the protection of persons with disabilities and landmine victims in Azerbaijan held in Baku on December 4, Report informs.
According to him, 3,416 people have been victims of mines over the past 32 years: "Since 2020, 337 people have been hit by landmines, 65 people, including 50 civilians, have lost their lives. There were 197 landmine incidents, 56 of which occurred within the former line of contact and 141 far from the line of contact, indicating that mine terrorism was directed against the civilian population."
