The elimination of the Minsk process and related OSCE structures is a new diplomatic success of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, MP Gaya Mammadov, head of the Milli Majlis delegation to the OSCE PA, told Report.
According to him, this decision opens the way to a fair and sustainable peace in the region.
"The elimination of the Minsk process means that the former Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is completely removed from the OSCE agenda. It is recognized that the conflict has been resolved within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty. This also confirms the collapse of a diplomatic model that tried to circumvent the norms of international law," the MP emphasized.
Mammadov also pointed out that the decision brings Azerbaijan and Armenia closer to signing a peace treaty and contributes to security and cooperation in Europe.
