Azerbaijan's humanitarian aid arrives in Ukraine

The next batch of humanitarian aid sent from Azerbaijan arrived in Ukraine on September 1, Report informs.

The aid consisting of energy equipment included up to 20 trucks.

The counselor of Azerbaijan's Embassy in Ukraine, Farid Babayev, stated that this is the next humanitarian aid convoy aimed at supporting the elimination of the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine:

"Under the relevant decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the value of this convoy is $2 million. In total, since the beginning of the war until now, the value of humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan to Ukraine has reached $44 million. In line with the president's directives, humanitarian aid to Ukraine will continue in the future."

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak stated that it is a great pleasure and opportunity for them to receive the next batch of Azerbaijan's aid for the energy sector:

"In general, Azerbaijan has been extending a helping hand to Ukrainians since the first days of the war. This mostly covers the energy sector. Literally from the first months, equipment, transformers, generators have been sent to us from Azerbaijan. Because Ukraine's energy sector has been seriously damaged as a result of strikes. Azerbaijan does not spare its humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people in this difficult time, in this critical area. We are very grateful to the President and people of Azerbaijan for this. The Ukrainian people will not forget this attention," he added.
