Azerbaijan will be represented at the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (MONDIACULT 2025), to be held in Barcelona on September 29 – October 1, 2025, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Culture.

The country's delegation will be headed by Minister of Culture Adil Karimli.

As part of MONDIACULT 2025, the "3rd High-Level Ministerial Dialogue on Culture-Based Climate Action" will take place in Barcelona on September 28. The dialogue will promote the integration of culture into the global climate agenda and enable discussions on new approaches for a sustainable future.

Launched in 1982 at UNESCO's initiative, MONDIACULT is recognized as the largest intergovernmental platform on cultural policies worldwide. This year's conference aims to reinforce culture as a key pillar of global development and to advocate for its recognition as a standalone goal in the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

Discussions will cover topics such as "Cultural Rights," "Digital Technologies and Culture," "Education and Culture," "Cultural Economy," "Climate and Culture," and "Heritage, Culture and Crisis." The event will bring together hundreds of countries, international organizations, cultural experts, and civil society representatives, serving as a unique global platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
