Azerbaijan's healthcare expenditures in 2026 to amount to 3.7B manats

In 2026, Azerbaijan will allocate 3.7 billion manats ($2.176 billion) from its consolidated budget for healthcare, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said at a plenary session of the Milli Majlis (parliament) discussing the 2026 budget package, Report informs.
According to the minister, 2 billion manats ($1.176 billion) have been allocated from the state budget for healthcare in 2026, an 11% increase compared to the 2024 budget. These expenditures will account for 4.9% of total government expenditures.
Overall, the total funding for the healthcare system from the consolidated budget for 2026 will amount to 3.7 billion manats ($2.176 billion), an increase of 227 million manats ($133 million), or 6.4%, compared to 2025.
