WHO: Measles infection has increased sharply in Turkic world over past year

Over the past year, an increase in measles cases has been recorded in the Turkic world, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Report informs, citing Haber Global, that Türkiye experienced the highest number of infections.
During the last 1 year, 2,986 people were infected with measles in the brother country. At the same time, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan also saw growth in cases.
According to the previous report of WHO, 1,543 measles infections were registered in Türkiye (+2 times).
Experts said that vaccination is needed to prevent disease.
