Farid Osmanov: ICPC World Finals in Baku open new horizons for future leaders of digital era

The World Finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) held in Baku became a source of inspiration for young programmers, Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, stated at the closing ceremony of the 49th ICPC World Finals held in Baku, Report informs.

"Your talent, perseverance, and purposefulness have brought you to this stage. Your dedication to the work you do and your intellectual power are a source of pride not only for you but also for your university, academic community, and of course, your country. After all, ICPC is not just a competition and a result, but also a journey," he said.

Osmanov noted that the final competitions have opened new horizons for participants, given them valuable knowledge, friendship, and laid the foundation for their future success.

"I know that each team did their best to solve as many problems as possible and achieve the best results. But what's most important here is the collaboration, friendship, and opportunities you will take with you from Baku. The World Finals held in Azerbaijan also have a special meaning for us. It inspired young programmers, showed how their universities shine on the world stage, and became an unforgettable event in their hometown, Azerbaijan," he emphasized.

Osmanov also noted that in recent years, Azerbaijan has achieved significant success in the field of digital development, implementation of electronic services, digital systems, and infrastructure.

"However, all these achievements have been made possible thanks to human capital. Let's not forget that human talent always stands at the center of technology and innovation. It is competitions like ICPC that bring together the brightest young professionals from all over the world," he concluded.
