Azerbaijani youth of Georgia hold forum in Tbilisi

The first regional forum of Azerbaijani youth is being held at the Museum of Azerbaijani culture named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov in Tbilisi, Georgia.

According to Report's local bureau, the event will feature speeches and discussions on "Youth in search of equality and peace."

The forum's purpose is to listen to the issues of concern to ethnic Azerbaijani youth, their problems and bring them into the government's agenda.

The event is attended by First Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia Anar Rasulov, MP Tariel Nakaidze, representatives of NGOs working in national minorities and human rights, active youth, and researchers.

The forum will feature a short film on the social and public life of the Kvemo Kartli region and award the winners of the essay competition.

The event organizers are the Civil Council on Defense and Security, the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, the Azerbaijani Youth Initiative Group, and the Integration Center for Azerbaijanis of Georgia.
