Sahiba Gafarova invited to Pakistan for Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference

Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Yusuf Raza Gilani, has invited Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference to be held in Islamabad on November 10–12, 2025, Report informs via Pakistani media outlets.

The two officials held a phone conversation and discussed the development of bilateral relations through parliamentary channels.

The Senate Chairman praised Gafarova's dynamic leadership as Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.

He also expressed hope that she would participate in the Trilateral Speakers' Conference organized by the National Assembly of Pakistan in Islamabad on October 12–13.

In turn, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova invited the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan to attend the International Parliamentary Conference in Baku on October 29, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Azerbaijan.

She expressed confidence that Pakistan's participation would make a meaningful contribution to this historic event and help further strengthen the strong friendship and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

The upcoming conference in Baku is expected to bring together parliamentarians and high-level officials from around the world to discuss constitutional development, parliamentary democracy, and ways to expand inter-parliamentary collaboration.
