The senators were told how, during the occupation, Armenian forces shot at the statues of prominent Azerbaijani cultural figures Khurshidbanu Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibayli.

Then the guests visited the Yukhari Govharagha Mosque, toured the fortress walls of Shusha, visited Isa Bulagi, and climbed Jidir Duzu. As settlements are built and restored, former internally displaced persons are returning to their homelands.

To date, more than 50,000 former internally displaced persons have returned to their native lands, where they live, work, and receive education. The senators also spoke with the mothers of martyrs.
