Haber Global wins 2 awards at int'l competition

Haber Global TV channel, part of the Global Media Group media holding, has achieved success at a prestigious international competition, winning awards in two different nominations at once, Report informs.

The 28th annual "Zoom Uluslararasi Haber Görüntüleri Yarismasi" competition was organized by the Association of News Operators of Türkiye.

This year, the competition brought together dozens of talented journalists and cameramen from leading media organizations in Türkiye and the region. Participants submitted 220 works to the jury in 11 different categories.

The story "Eve Dönüs" ("Homecoming"), created by cameraman Cagri Caliskan and correspondent Mehmet Altunisik, was awarded third place in the "Live" nomination.

The second prize went to the Haber Global team for their report "Suriye Devrimi" ("Syrian Revolution"), filmed in Damascus by the channel's intelligence chief Mücahit Topcu and cameraman Serdar Altintepe. This work took third place in the "Drone News" category.

The award ceremony for the winners will be held in September.
