Ukrainian General Staff reports strikes on Russian oil facilities

The General Staff of Ukraine reported strikes on two oil refineries in Russia.

Report informs, citing the post of the press service of the General Staff on social media, that, on the night of August 30, Ukrainian drones struck the Krasnodar Refinery in the city of Krasnodar and carried out a repeated attack on the Syzran Refinery in Russia"s Samara region.

The General Staff stated that the operation was conducted as part of "reducing the enemy"s offensive potential and complicating fuel supplies to military units."

The extent of the damage caused to the refineries by the drones is still being clarified.

According to the General Staff, a fire is raging in the area of the Syzran Refinery.

The Krasnodar Refinery has a design capacity of 3 million tons of petroleum products per year, producing automobile gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel.

The Syzran Refinery has a capacity of 8.5 million tons of petroleum products per year.
