Azerbaijan and Gambia FMs sign Memorandum of Understanding

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Gambia's Foreign Minister Sering Modou Njie during the high-level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The ministers emphasized the promising potential of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Gambia, especially within the framework of the UN, OIC, and the Non-Aligned Movement, noting the importance of further strengthening these relations to address common challenges and promote mutual interests.
During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the importance of advancing new initiatives and cooperation mechanisms aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Gambia.
The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad of Gambia.
