2026 FIFA WC: Azerbaijan to face Ukraine today in qualifier match

The Azerbaijani national football team will play its next match today in the qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Report, the Azerbaijani team will host Ukraine in Baku.
The match will kick off at 20:00 (GMT+4) at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium and will be officiated by Greek FIFA referee Vassilis Fotias.
Just yesterday, Portuguese head coach Fernando Santos was dismissed from his position. For today's match, the team will be led by Aykhan Abbasov, head coach of Azerbaijan"s U-21 national team.
Azerbaijan suffered a 0–5 defeat away to Iceland on September 5. Ukraine, meanwhile, lost 0–2 to France.
