Azerbaijan's economy shrinks 4.3%

In January-November 2020, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product worth AZN 64,709.3 million, or 4.3% less than the same period last year.
Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee. Value added in the economy's non-oil and gas sector decreased by 2.9%, and in the oil and gas sector - by 6.5%.
Industry accounted for 34% of GDP, trade; repair of vehicles - 11.3%, transport and warehousing - 7.4%, agriculture, forestry and fishing - 7.2%, construction - 6.3%, information and communication - 2%, accomodation of tourists and catering - 1.2%, other areas - 20.7%.
Net taxes on products and imports amounted to 9.9% of GDP. GDP per capita amounted to AZN 6,485.7.
