Now it is difficult to predict the resumption of international travel, as the number of new coronavirus cases is growing around the world, Report informs, citing the WHO representative in Russia Melita Vujnovic’s interview with Radio Govorit Moscow.
“The transmission level of the virus is high. Therefore, it is too early to talk about the resumption of international travel,” Vujnovic explained, stressing that vaccines were in short supply in many countries.
According to the WHO rep, immunizing travelers can lead to an inadequate distribution of drugs for priority population groups who are at high risk of severe illness.
She also recommended that vaccinated people wear masks, wash their hands and keep social distance while traveling.
