Azerbaijan's investments in Montenegro's tourism sector have helped create an environment that reflects not only a skillful investment policy but also the strategic development of the entire industry, Montenegro's Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić, said during the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) in Baku.
The minister noted that the investment landscape has long become globalized.
"Therefore, any investment initiative by one country or a single investor significantly affects many other aspects. Your point is quite valid. There are a number of practices that can be very useful and instructive when planning investment strategies. Whenever we engage in dialogue with colleagues from other countries, I am particularly interested to hear what they can offer and what experience they have," she said.
Kordić emphasized that, often, when she has the opportunity to speak with colleagues visiting Montenegro, they note that these practices prove extremely useful.
"I also mentioned a range of measures-mainly financial and tax incentives-that actually support investments in the type of tourism we are strategically targeting, namely high-quality tourism. These are the main areas in which we are already cooperating and should continue to cooperate to achieve the best results," added the minister.
