OIC member states developing labor protection projects

Member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) are working on new projects in the field of labor protection, Azar Bayramov, Director-General of the Labor Center, said at a meeting of the Labor Center's Executive Council held in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that countries such as Pakistan and the Maldives are among the most active and leading contributors to these efforts.

"Labor protection is one of the fundamental human rights and holds great importance for us. We regularly organize training programs on this issue, and OIC member states have been very supportive," Bayramov said.

Looking ahead, he added: "We are optimistic about the future. Between 2026 and 2028, we plan to implement various projects and strategies tailored to the needs of different countries in areas such as labor, employment, human capital, and social protection."
