UK envoy: Peace, cooperation to drive prosperity in South Caucasus

Strengthening peace and developing relations will give new impetus to the prosperity of the South Caucasus, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld said, Report informs.

The British diplomat shared footage on social networks from the meeting of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with British Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty.

"Minister Stephen Doughty and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a substantive meeting. We are proud of the wide range of partnerships between the UK and Azerbaijan - from trade and investment to security, energy, climate change and education," Auld noted.
