Barcelona register Wojciech Szczesny ahead of Rayo Vallecano clash

Barcelona"s registration nightmare is almost over - at least for this summer - as goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny"s status has officially been approved by La Liga, who included the Pole as part of Barça"s squad on their website on Saturday, Report informs referring to Barca Blaugranes.

Szczesny is now available for selection ahead of Sunday"s clash with Rayo Vallecano.

Szczesny signed a two-year contract extension in the summer but had to wait until the very end of the transfer window to see his registration go through, thanks to the departure of Iñaki Peña who joined Elche on loan - an operation that also allowed the registration of Gerard Martín.

There"s only one more player who needs to have his status cleared before Monday"s deadline: Roony Bardghji. The new signing from Copenhagen will likely miss the game against Rayo, but there is optimism his registration will still happen as soon as Oriol Romeu"s contract termination and Héctor Fort"s departure on loan are finalized.
