Turkish president: 'We are pleased with development of relations between Pakistan, Northern Cyprus'

Türkiye is pleased with the development of relations between Pakistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the Chinese city of Tianjin, Report informs via TRT.
Erdogan noted that he highly appreciates the solidarity shown by Pakistan on this issue.
He also stated that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria are a priority for Türkiye, and stressed that Ankara is against any steps aimed at disrupting stability in this country.
Sharif and Erdogan said that they seek to develop cooperation in the areas of trade, energy, defense industry and security.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
It should be noted that the leaders of Türkiye and Pakistan are in China to participate in the summit of the leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.
