Turkish, French presidents discuss regional, global issues

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation, the Communications Department of Türkiye’s Presidency wrote on X, Report informs.

The leaders discussed many regional and global issues, including relations between the two countries, the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, and the latest situation in Gaza.

Erdogan stated that Türkiye continues its efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia war with a just peace, and that they are closely following the contacts in Alaska and Washington.

The Turkish leader also emphasized that his country is ready to host all kinds of efforts in peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

During the conversation, Erdogan noted that Türkiye is working to ensure a ceasefire in Gaza, where a major humanitarian disaster is taking place.
