Azerbaijan increases fruit and vegetable imports/exports

Between January and July of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 248,470 tons of fruits and vegetables, valued at $191.481 million, Report informs, referring to the country's State Customs Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, the imports grew by 14,080 tons or 6% in volume and rose by $19.585 million or 11.3% in value. During this period, spending on fruit and vegetable imports accounted for 1.4% of Azerbaijan's total import costs.

Additionally, over the seven-month period, Azerbaijan exported 490,609 tons of fruits and vegetables worth $506.406 million. This represents a 33.1% year-on-year increase in volume (122,060 tons) and a 31.9% YoY rise in value ($122.543 million).

Revenue from fruit and vegetable exports made up 3.3% of Azerbaijan's total export earnings in the specified period.
