Kobakhidze: 'We want to restore Georgia-US strategic partnership'

Georgia wants to restore strategic partnership with the USA, Georgisn Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, Report informs.
According to Kobakhidze, hostile actions against the Georgian people and state have failed.
"We declare that we want to renew the strategic partnership that the former Biden administration canceled shortly before Trump's inauguration. This is our desire. The rest depends on the decision of the Trump administration. Currently, we are in a waiting position and are completely open to these relations. We will wait for the position of the US side and discussions will be conducted based on that position. We are fully ready to restore strategic partnership with the USA," Kobakhidze emphasized.
Democratic congressman Steve Cohen stated during his recent speech at the Helsinki Commission: "Unfortunately, the Senate did not pass the 'Friendship Act' and will not pass it. There were certain problems here and it might have been related to a big business concerning the port."
