SAVALAN–ASPI Winery has once again proved the high level of its craftsmanship by receiving prestigious awards at the IWSC 2025 (International Wine & Spirit Competition) in London, United Kingdom.
This year, the jury evaluated over 12,000 samples of wines and spirits from more than 90 countries worldwide.
The highlight was the victory of SAVALAN Grappolo, which was awarded the highest honor - Trophy - in the Marc/Pomace Brandy category (grappa and its equivalents).
The Trophy is a level above gold. From all gold medal winners, the jury selects only one or a few samples recognized as the best in their category. SAVALAN Grappolo first received a gold medal (95 points) and then the top award, thus being recognized as the best of the best.
Experts noted its fresh aroma with hints of melon and English rose, a complex taste with nuances of dried apricot and mineral, and a multilayered finish.
In addition, the SAVALAN distillate collection received further international recognition.
The IWSC is considered one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of wines and spirits. These awards confirm that Azerbaijani SAVALAN distillates meet the highest international quality standards.
The traditional, time-tested production methods employed by the winery were duly recognized by global experts.
