Kürşad Zorlu: 'With the launch of Zangezur Corridor, the region will become important center of stability'

Nakhchivan is a center of special importance both within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and in Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, the Deputy Chairman of Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party, Kürşad Zorlu, told journalists in Nakhchivan, Report informs.

Kürşat Zorlu noted that in this context, Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are at the highest level and are based on friendship, brotherhood, and strong alliance, which are rarely found in the modern world.

"Nakhchivan is a center of special importance both within the framework of the OTS and in Azerbaijani-Turkish relations. The treaty signed in 2009 was implemented right here. Now we are entering a new stage. Thus, along with Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, within the framework of projects that will be implemented between Azerbaijan and Armenia, a corridor connecting Nakhchivan with the main territory of Azerbaijan will open. If this happens, Nakhchivan will become one of the most important logistics centers not only for the two countries but also for the entire Turkic world," he noted.

According to Zorlu, with the launch of the Zangezur Corridor, all countries of the Caucasus will be able to take advantage of the great economic opportunities that the corridor will present, and the region will become an important center of peace, stability, and security.

"Together with Azerbaijan, we will ensure peace, stability, and development in the region," he added.
