Iran's COVID death toll hits 88,800

Over the past day, 268 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Iran, bringing the country’s death toll to 88,800, Report informs with reference to the Iranian Health Ministry.
Iran registered 27,146 new cases of COVID-19 infection, and 2,935 of them were hospitalized over the past day.
The total number of people infected with coronavirus in the Islamic Republic has risen to 3,691,432.
To date, Iran, which has a population of about 83 million, has reached 25,537,513 COVID-19 tests.
So far, 10,265,811 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the Islamic Republic.
