Tokayev to visit China

At the invitation of PRC Chairman Xi Jinping, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit China from August 30 to September 3, Report informs referring to Akorda (government office).

High-level talks will be held during the visit, during which prospects for strengthening the Kazakh-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership will be discussed.

"From August 31 to September 1, the president of Kazakhstan will take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and the SCO Plus meeting in Tianjin," the update says.

In addition, on September 2, Tokayev will speak at a meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council in Beijing and hold a number of meetings with the heads of large Chinese companies.

"On September 3, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will attend the ceremonial events to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II as an honorary guest," the update noted.
