Nature-based solutions should not be regarded as secondary or purely environmental interventions, Ilyas Essabayi, Head of Department at Morocco"s Ministry of Territorial Planning, Urban Development, Housing and Urban Policy, said at the event "Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable Arab Cities: From Local Action to Urban Transformation" within WUF13 in Baku.
Report quotes him as saying these solutions today play the role of a strategic lever for building more sustainable and livable cities.
