Azerbaijani PM meets UN Secretary‑General's Special Envoy

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with UN Secretary‑General's Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt in Baku, Report informs, referring to the Cabinet of Ministers.

During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN in various areas.

The activities carried out under the mandate of the UN Special Envoy to promote global road safety were highly appreciated.

The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan's ongoing reforms to ensure road traffic safety, modernize transport infrastructure in line with contemporary requirements, and improve the transport system through the application of digital solutions.

The meeting also addressed the study of international experience in road safety, the expansion of cooperation in this field, and other issues of mutual interest.
