Current state of seawater desalination project in Azerbaijan discussed

Azerbaijan has discussed the implementation status of the seawater desalination project being carried out in the country with Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power company, the Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said, Report informs.

"During our meeting with Marco Arcelli, the CEO of ACWA Power, we reviewed the progress of the seawater desalination project currently being implemented in Azerbaijan. The discussion also covered potential initiatives in efficient water management aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

We underscored the significance of such projects not only for advancing public–private partnerships but also for facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies, expertise, and innovations," Jabbarov said in a post on X.
