Bus production in Azerbaijan surges 60-fold over five years

In 2024, Azerbaijan produced 120 units of public transport vehicles, marking a 7% increase compared to 2023 and a remarkable 60-fold rise compared to 2020, Report informs, citing the country"s State Statistical Committee.

The country manufactured a total of 6,815 automobiles in 2024-up 43% from the previous year and 3.2 times more than five years ago. This figure includes 5,998 passenger cars, which rose by 55% year-on-year and tripled over five years, and 697 trucks, which declined by 13% compared to 2023 but increased 3.4 times over the five-year period.

Additionally, 20 trailers and semi-trailers were produced during the reporting period-19 more than the previous year, representing a 20-fold increase. Over the past five years, trailer and semi-trailer production has grown by 5.3%.
