Details of fire in Sadarak shopping center in Baku revealed

The Chief of the Firefighting Headquarters of the State Fire Service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations Taleh Babayev has revealed some details of the fire in the Sadarak shopping center in the Garadagh district of Baku, Report informs.

In a conversation with journalists, he noted that information about the fire in the rented warehouse was received on the hotline "112" at about 11:50 (GMT+4).

"The forces of the State Fire Service and the Special Risk Rescue Service were immediately involved in response to the call. Given the complexity of the fire, a high level of readiness was declared. The difficulty in extinguishing the fire was caused by the fact that the fire occurred on the territory of the warehouse, in the storage area of synthetic materials. The number of personnel and equipment at the site of the fire is sufficient.

The spread of the fire to a larger territory was prevented. At the same time, we ensured the protection of the nearby gas station and other warehouses," Taleh Babayev noted.
