Azerbaijan has extradited Mayank Singh, one of India’s most wanted criminal figures, who was arrested in Baku last year.
According to Report, officers from India’s Anti-Terrorism Squad escorted Singh from Baku to Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand state.
Mayank Singh is the first gangster from Jharkhand to be extradited from abroad. He had been on Interpol’s Red Notice list for a long time and was known for his extensive criminal background. Singh was also a member of the gang led by notorious criminal and childhood friend Lawrence Bishnoi.
Before fleeing India, Singh was involved in high-profile crimes across Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. He faces more than 45 charges, including murder, extortion, threats, armed attacks, and criminal conspiracy.
