Single database of competition violations may be created within OTS

At the 3rd Meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Competition Forum, held in Azerbaijan's Shusha, a proposal has been made to create a single database of competition violations.

According to a Report correspondent in Shusha, Elnur Baghirov, chairman of the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Agency, made the remark at the panel discussion.

According to the head of the agency, to effectively implement competition policy, it is necessary to expand the exchange of experience, conduct joint research, and develop professional cooperation between countries.

Elnur Baghirov emphasized the importance of establishing a regular reporting system, conducting comparative studies across selected markets, and creating a consolidated database of competition violations.

"Despite the specific characteristics of national markets, in the context of their growing integration, the experience of each state contributes to the formation of a common regional knowledge base," he noted.
