Azerbaijan’s ICT sector revenue rose 13.2% in 2024

In 2024, Azerbaijan earned 3.65 billion manats from information and communication technology (ICT) services, marking a 13.2% increase compared to the previous year, Report informs, citing data from the State Statistical Committee.
Revenue from mobile communication services reached 1.24 billion manats, up by 6.4% year-on-year. Software development and related consulting services brought in 464 million manats, a 31% rise, while internet services generated 471 million manats, up by 29%.
Data processing, website development, and management activities earned 208.5 million manats (+13%), and technical services for computer networks and other information services generated 264 million manats (+9%). Radio and television broadcasting and program production brought in 108 million manats (+12%), while income from fixed-line urban and rural telephone services declined by 20% to 62.6 million manats.
Additionally, satellite communications services earned 49.2 million manats (down 8%), data services 54.2 million manats (+7.5%), and intercity and international phone services 25.1 million manats (−3%).
Revenue from film, video, and television program production activities fell by 4% to 50.9 million manats, publishing activities dropped 15% to 30.8 million manats, and wired telecommunications generated 41.2 million manats — a threefold increase.
Wireless telecom services brought in 75.5 million manats (+29%), other telecom activities 463.6 million manats (+12%), and other ICT-related services 40.5 million manats (+19%).
