Azerbaijan not yet realizing full potential in ICT exports, says minister

Azerbaijan is not yet fully realizing its potential in exporting ICT products, said Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev at the INMerge Innovation Summit organized by PASHA Holding in Baku, Report informs.

According to Nabiyev, a key challenge lies in the mismatch between the quality of ICT graduates and labor market demands:

"Each year, more than 2,000 IT specialists graduate from Azerbaijani universities, which is actually more than what the market currently requires. However, the main issue is the gap between graduate competencies and market expectations."

He noted that improving human capital is a top priority:

"We are investing heavily at nearly all levels-expanding digital skills programs in schools, upgrading university curricula across the country, and working with numerous companies to enhance workforce capabilities."
