Lithuania protests to Russia over shelling of Ukraine, damage to Azerbaijani Embassy

Lithuania has sent Russia a new note of protest, condemning the latest shelling of Ukraine and pointing to the damage inflicted on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv, the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to Report, the note emphasizes that the Russian strike on November 14 caused significant damage to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv, an incident Vilnius regards as a gross violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
"During the attack on November 14, a Russian missile hit the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv. This constituted a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention and an infringement on the inviolability of diplomatic missions. Lithuania expresses full solidarity with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Azerbaijani diplomatic community," the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry stated.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani MFA reported that on November 14, Russian Ambassador to Baku Mikhail Yevdokimov was summoned to the ministry, where he was handed a note of protest. During the meeting, the ambassador was issued a strong protest over the impact of an Iskander-type missile on the grounds of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv as a result of missile and drone attacks that occurred around 1:00 a.m. on November 14.
The Azerbaijani side informed the Russian diplomat that the explosion completely destroyed part of the embassy"s perimeter fence and damaged structures, official vehicles, the administrative building, and the consular section of the diplomatic mission.
