Bayramov discusses Baku–Washington cooperation with US Under Secretary of State

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, the progress of the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process, as well as issues of regional and global security.
The sides emphasized the importance of the agreements reached on August 8 at the historic meeting in Washington and the significance of joint efforts to further develop the strategic partnership.
"The role of cooperation in regional stability, energy security, and the expansion of transport corridors was separately highlighted. Azerbaijan expressed interest in accelerating work on the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,' aimed at ensuring unhindered connectivity between the country's mainland territory and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic," the statement said.
The sides reviewed the activities of the Joint Strategic Working Group on preparing the Strategic Partnership Charter and discussed the need to establish an institutional framework for practical cooperation.
"The meeting also touched upon the peace and stability agenda in the South Caucasus, as well as issues related to future cooperation formats," the information noted.
Bayramov informed the American side about the steps taken within the normalization process and about reconstruction efforts in the post-conflict period.
In addition, the situation in the Middle East and other pressing regional issues were discussed.
