Kenya's president receives Azerbaijan's defense industry minister

A delegation headed by Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev is on a business visit to Kenya.

Report informs, citing the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan, Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto received Vugar Mustafayev.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the dynamically developing relations between the two countries, and it was emphasized that high-level mutual visits, political dialogue, and inter-institutional contacts serve the development of this cooperation.

During the visit, Minister Vugar Mustafayev met with the Chief of General Staff of the Kenyan Armed Forces, General Charles Kahariri.

The existing cooperation in the military-technical field between the parties, including the development prospects of future relations, was discussed, and views were exchanged on topics of interest to both sides.

The minister provided information about Azerbaijan's achievements in the defense industry, international cooperation in this framework, and the ADEX Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition held every two years. He also informed the Kenyan side about the large-scale reconstruction and restoration work in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation in the post-conflict period, humanitarian demining activities, as well as progress observed in the peace agenda.

Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kenya, Sultan Hajiyev, also participated in the meetings.

The delegation headed by Vugar Mustafayev visited Azerbaijan's embassy in Kenya, laid flower bouquets at the monument of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and respectfully commemorated the dear memory of the Great Leader.
