Kyrgyzstan, China sign program of cooperation between MFAs for 2026-2027

Kyrgyzstan and China signed a cooperation program between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2026-2027, Report informs, citing the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who was on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev held the first meeting of the Strategic Dialogue at the level of heads of foreign ministries. The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, noting the significant intensification of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in recent years.
Special attention during the talks was paid to issues related to trade, economic cooperation and implementation of joint projects in the agricultural sector, energy, processing industry, transport sector, as well as optimization of checkpoints. The promotion of the China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan railway construction was discussed separately.
The ministers also exchanged views on cooperation within the UN, the One Belt, One Road initiative and the Central Asia - China format. The Chinese side expressed readiness to actively support Kyrgyzstan during its chairmanship in the SCO in 2025-2026.
Following the negotiations, the parties signed a Joint Statement on the results of the first meeting of the Strategic Dialogue and a Cooperation Program between the foreign ministries of Kyrgyzstan and China for 2026-2027.
