Jeyhun Bayramov accepts credentials of new ambassador of Egypt

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Hossam El-Din Effat Mustafa Reda.

Report informs that Ambassador Hossam El-Din Effat Mustafa Reda presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his tenure.

During the meeting, bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt, as well as regional and international situations were discussed.

The importance of friendly relations between the leaders, high-level mutual visits, the activities of the intergovernmental commission, as well as the political consultation mechanism in the development of cooperation between the two countries was noted.

Cooperation within regional and international organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement were discussed.

The cooperation between the two countries during Azerbaijan's hosting and presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was recalled with satisfaction.

The inister also provided detailed information to the ambassador about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period and the large-scale restoration and construction work being carried out in the liberated territories.

The parties also discussed the security situation in the Middle East region.

The ambassador expressed his pleasure to serve as Egypt's Ambassador to Azerbaijan and stated that during his tenure, he would spare no effort for the development of bilateral relations and cooperation.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
