Türkiye and BP sign three-year LNG supply agreement

Turkish state company Botaş signed an LNG supply contract with BP plc on the sidelines of the Gastech conference in Milan.

As Report informs with reference to Russian media, this was announced by the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar.

The three-year agreement provides for the supply of 1.6 billion cubic meters of gas per year (1.2 million tons).

"This cooperation is especially important for ensuring uninterrupted supplies during winter months, diversification of sources, and increasing commercial flexibility," the minister added.

In 2024, Türkiye imported 12 billion cubic meters of gas or 9.3 million tons in the form of LNG; in the first 6 months of 2025, supplies amounted to 7.3 million tons or 9.5 billion cubic meters.
