Embassy: MoU signed in Washington marks beginning of new era in US-Azerbaijan cooperation

A Memorandum of Understanding signed by Azerbaijan and the US in Washington marks the beginning of a new era of closer economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, the US Embassy in Baku told Report.

The embassy said that, on August 8, President Trump negotiated a historic agreement to finally end the decades-long conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"On the same day, the United States and Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a Strategic Working Group to prepare a Charter on a Strategic Partnership that will foster closer economic ties between the United States and Azerbaijan. This marks the beginning of a new era of closer economic and commercial cooperation between our two countries," reads the statement.

It added that the US Business Delegation to the Middle Corridor Region is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan from September 7-9, 2025.
