Poland aims to deepen cooperation with Azerbaijani banks

The Polish Bank Association is committed to deepening cooperation with Azerbaijani banks and looks forward to fruitful collaboration with the country's Banks Association, Wlodzimierz Kicinski, Executive Vice President of the Polish Bank Association, said at the 9th International Banking Forum in Baku, Report informs.

"We continue our joint efforts to build a long-term strategic partnership between the banking associations of the two countries. There are 550 banks operating in our country – 65 commercial and nearly 500 cooperative banks operating in rural areas. The challenges we face today are related to geopolitics, increasing investment, and better meeting the needs of our clients," the executive vice president said.

According to him, more than 50% of Polish clients currently use only mobile services.

"We have a very modern and efficient banking system, well capitalized, and 34 organizations, including four Polish banks, are among the global leaders in digital banking. It's also crucial to understand what banks do for the state and how we interact with government agencies to provide social solutions for our society and our citizens. The issue currently facing Polish banks is deregulation. We need less complex solutions in the banking sector. We must focus much more on customer needs and the use of new technologies. In this regard, we are implementing AI-based solutions, new channels, and integrating all of this into the daily operations of our banks. In this regard, we are focused on deepening cooperation with your banks and look forward to fruitful collaboration with the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan," Kicinski added.
